Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists are qualified health professionals who focus on assisting people to participate in their everyday activities or “occupations”. These might include self care activities including showering dressing, and preparing food; productive activities such as work and volunteering; and participating in hobbies, leisure, and social activities. Occupational Therapists undertake assessments to assist with identifying your important occupations, what areas you are having difficulty with, and what your goals are. We design and implement client focused therapy programs to assist you with achieving these goals. We may also prescribe assistive aids and equipment, and undertake environmental and home modifications to assist you with maximising your participation and independence with your daily activities and occupations.
