The Dietitian use scientific principles and knowledge about nutrition, dietetics and how they correlate with food intake and eating behavior. They undertake assessments taking into consideration the individual needs, health conditions, cultural background, beliefs and lifestyle information. The dietitian also gathers anthropometric information, laboratorial tests, clinical signs and symptoms and dietary habits to develop an dietary plan in order to optimize the individual’s health.
